ASOKMEC's ​​Aims:
The Korin Mea Association for Change has as its fundamental objective to promote the integral and sustainable development of indigenous and peasant communities in the Amazon region of Peru. This includes the conservation of biodiversity, care for the environment, protection of the cultural and territorial rights of indigenous peoples; as well as the promotion of their social, economic and environmental well-being.
ASOKMEC Objectives
1. Local Economic Development: Promote productive projects that generate income and employment in communities, prioritizing sustainable practices.
2. Education and Training: Offer training and capacity building programs in various areas, including environmental management, human rights, and community leadership.
3. Environmental Conservation: Promote practices that contribute to the conservation of the Amazon ecosystem, supporting reforestation initiatives and sustainable use of resources.
4. Biodiversity Conservation: Promote the preservation of the rich biodiversity of the Amazon, ensuring that natural resources are maintained for future generations through sustainable and responsible practices.
5. Leadership in Sustainable Development: Become a reference for the community and the State in promoting development that balances human well-being with environmental conservation, promoting initiatives that integrate these two dimensions.
6. Fair and Equitable Future: Work towards building a society in which all communities have equal access to development opportunities and social and economic inequalities are reduced, guaranteeing a more equitable future for all.
7. Valuing Cultural Diversity: Promoting respect and appreciation of the cultures and traditions of indigenous peoples, integrating their knowledge and practices into sustainable development to enrich cultural identity.
8. Recognition and Respect for Rights: Work towards creating a future where the rights of indigenous communities are fully respected and guaranteed, promoting policies and actions that defend their integrity and autonomy.

Our Projects
Improvement of Shipibo textile art production and commercialization capacities.
It consists of providing tactical assistance to women artisans to innovate the handicraft of painted and embroidered fabrics through training in business management, digital marketing and sales, design and production, and legal aspects (intellectual property, trademark registration).
Investment cost: USD $. 81 500.00

Restoration of degraded forests through reforestation with medicinal plants.
It consists of reforesting 100,000 medicinal plants of different species in degraded soils, which will allow the recovery of forests, biodiversity and improve environmental services.

Permaculture project
Composting, vegetable cultivation, mandala garden and raising small animals.
